The table rests compact during everyday use, yet is designed to spring into action when necessary. Providing a safe haven from earthquakes, the tanks within the Undercover Table contain comfort and emergency items. Visible from above through the translucent top, the reflective tanks are wrapped in protective bands to be easily spotted during disaster use. These perforated bands disengage to form cushions for reclining and sleeping. The tabletop pulls off to become a stretcher with handholds.

Resourcefulness is often key to existence during extreme situations, necessitating one to uncover new functions for the world of things that surround us. The Undercover Table taps into this spirit of invention.
